Auf dem Weg zum Earth Builder/Lehmbau-Spezialist:in
Die Nachfrage nach klimagerechten und wohngesunden Gebäuden macht Lehm zu einem bedeutenden Baumaterial der Bauwende. Wir von der Europäischen Bildungsstätte für Lehmbau Wangelin qualifizieren seit 2005 Bauschaffende in Techniken des Lehmbaus – auch mit Zertifizierung nach ECVET (Europäisches Leistungspunktesystem für die Berufsbildung). ECVET ist ein System von standardisierten, europaweit vergleichbaren Lernergebniseinheiten, deren Anwendung auf Lehmbautechniken wir mit Europäischen Partner:innen erarbeitet haben.
Auf Basis der ECVET-Zertifizierung entwickeln wir derzeit eine systematische 200-stündige Weiterbildung von 2- bis 5-tägigen Kursen zu allen relevanten Lehmbautechniken. Die Module können einzeln belegt und geprüft und zu einer Qualifikation (Niveaustufe 3/4 DQR (Deutscher Qualifikationsrahmen)) gebündelt werden. Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss von vier Pflicht- und drei Wahleinheiten wird das Siegel Earth Builder/Lehmbau-Spezialist:in vergeben (ab ca. 2025). Einheitliche Prüfungskriterien haben die europäischen Lern°Lehm-Partner untereinander vereinbart.
ECVET Lehmbau ermöglicht einen individuellen Lernweg. Jede Lerneinheit beschreibt ein Bündel von Kenntnissen, Fertigkeiten und Kompetenzen, die für die Ausführung einer Lehmbautechnik erforderlich sind.

Die Kurse sind in verschiedenen Bundesländern als Bildungsurlaub anerkannt.
There´s a high demand for buildings that are climate-friendly and healthy to live in. This gives clay or earth an important key as building material for the construction turnaround. At the European Training Center for Earth Building (Europäische Bildungsstätte für Lehmbau) Wangelin we have been qualifying professionals in earth building techniques since 2005 – including those with certification according to ECVET (European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training). ECVET is a system of standardized, Europe-wide comparable units of learning outcomes. With our European partners, we have applied the system to earth building techniques.
Based on the ECVET certification, we are currently developing a systematic 200-hour continuing education program of 2- to 5-day courses on all relevant earth building techniques. The modules can be taken and examined individually and bundled into a qualification (level 3/4 DQR (German Qualification Framework)). After successful completion of four compulsory and three elective units, the Earth Builder seal will be awarded (from 2024). The standardized examination criteria have been agreed among the European Learn•Earth partners.
